Magach tank conversion into heavy apc.

If a unit try to convert a magach tank into a heavy apc why they left the turret the only that they remove was the gun and why they left all the inside organs! they try similar solutions with ofek merkava and create a super stracture and why they didnt create a similar vehicle like puma i wonder!!!! if they want to create a magach heavy apc they must remove the turret or create a super stracture but where the exit holes will create is a question thats why there experience mechanics to design such a vehicle!!!
